Martin Jensen

It is said that my husband's grandfather Martin Jensen was born in Salt Lake City, Utah Jan. 25, 1882. We have not been able to find anything to "prove" this.His father was Troels Christian Jensen, whose genealogy and life we have up until 1879 in Denmark, when he and his then wife Ane Margrethe Madsen lost a newly born son in Viborg, Fjends, Resen, TC's family home.

Do you have any suggestions on how we might find a birth record for Martin?All we have found after 1879 is a 1884 Copenhagen ship record for TC Jensen, wife Ane, son Martin, and son Peter, with the last residence listed as Amerika. We are interested in knowing the name of Martin's mother.
