Joseph Burt and Celinda in 1860 Fairfax, Franklin County, Vermont

Does anyone have any info on the family of Joseph Burt born about 1810 in Canada, and his wife Celinda born abt 1825 in Canada- in 1860 they lived at Fairfax, Franklin County, Vermont, USA. Children:

Edna abt 1855 in Canada
Marceline abt 1855 in Canada
George Burt born abt 1856 in Canada
Evan (?) Burt abt 1857 in Canada

Marceline Burt married James Wagner on March 10, 1877 at Georgia, Franklin County, Vermont. They had at least one daughter Bertha E. born about 1878. James was married twice after Marceline died but I do not have her date of death or where she died. In 1880 James and Marcelline lived in New Hampshire, but by 1900 he was back at Fairfax, Vermont.

Celinda BURT, Marcelline's sister, was twice married that I know of. Her first husband was Bartholemew or Batholamus Sherbutt/Sherbert- his family name farther back is CHABOT. Most people post that Celinda's name was Sherbutt but she was born a BURT. When she married Paul Wagner in 1868 she must have been a widow. I tried to find out what had happened to her first husband Bartholemew but no info yet. He may have died of injuries he received in the Civil War?

I think that Bartholemew was the son of Louis Sherbutt born 1812 at Hyacinthe, Quebec, died Dec. 26, 1891 in Vermont- and his wife Marie Francoise (Frances) Courtemanche born 1813 in Canada. Frances' father was Bartholomew Courtemanche 1773-1863, her mother Marie Anne Manard/Menard 1772-1815


Celinda married Napoleon (Paul) Wagner on Aug. 15, 1868 at St. Albans, Vermont- Paul was the brother of Marcelline Burt's husband James Wagner. Celinda's marriage with Paul Wagner says residence of bride was Georgia, Vermont; married Aug. 15, 1868. She was 21, and second marriage. She was born at Keeseville, New York and her father was Joseph BURT. Married at St. Albans.

Celinda died April 21, 1879 at Georgia, Vermont of TB. her husband Paul Wagner married two more times after her death. Celinda and Paul had seven children that I know of and one of their sons is the direct ancestor to my son in law.

Bartholemew SHERBUTT or Chabot/Sherbert/Sherburt who was born abt 1840, son of Louis Sherbert and Marie Francoise Coutemanche..and Celinda BURT had one son named Thomas Sherbert or Sherbutt born March 25, 1863 at Georgia, Franklin County, Vermont. I found him on the 1910 census at Brooklyn, New York, married to an Emma but I have no idea what happened to him after that or if they had children.

I do not know what happened to Celinda's parents and other siblings. I only found them once on that 1860 census at Fairfax, Vermont. Does anyone have any further info on any of them- know what happened to them?
