Family search is free and has a lot of indexed records available for Washington. Be aware that there are also records available that are not yet indexed. For instance, at the time of this posting in September of 2014 some of the unindexed records for Clark County are: Cemetery Committee Minutes Cemetery Deeds Death Register 1891-1907 Deed indexes Interment Permits (Many of these have cause of death) Marriage Affadavits Marriage Applications Marriage Certificates (note that these often have more information - such as parents, birth dates, etc - than the certificate you find on Washington Digital Archives) Probate Index School census records
To find unindexed records go to www.familysearch.org click on Search then Records Depending on your browser, either below or next to the search boxes is a world map. Click on the region of the map you wish to search (Click on the U.S.) Select a location (Washington) from the list Click "Start researching in Washington" This brings up a list of the records for Washington. Any collection that says "Browse Images" is either not indexed yet or only partially indexed. You can browse through them page by page
