Re: Irish and Towner families
Posting a message is a GREAT way to find relatives. If a family member doesn't happen to find the message, there are many good volunteer researchers that see those messages and help if possible.I'd also recommend posting under the family name of Irish and Towner, and on Rootsweb.com.
The other did not fully identify the Washington Library's assistance and gave the wrong link:
The Washington State Library has a free research service, the ask-a-librarian program, where they will look for information in the archives, in this case the newspaper microfilm for an event. They will look up to an hour and send you the results. For an obituary: http://www.sos.wa.gov/library/Obituaries.aspxhttp://www.sos.wa.gov/library/Obituaries.aspx
The RAOGK is the Random Acts OF Genealogical Kindness. They are volunteers that help in finding information. While they can not charge fees for the research, they can for mileage, documents, etc.READ the GUIDELINES first.I've set the link for Lewis County:
--There are only two in this area, but there are others in other locations in and outside of the USA.
I would also recommend to fully identify any person having the name of Irish and to verify information. There are many people having similar names and connecting to the wrong person might take a lot of research to correct.
