I am not related just trying to help you out, I did find Ruth's obituary for you:

Mrs. Rudolph Martin
FOOTVILLE—Mrs. Rudolph
E. Martin, 74, lifelong resident
of Rock County who had had
many years in Footville, died
this morning in St. Clare
Hospital, Monroe, after a long
illness.
Ruth Wells was born in Spring
Valley Township May 29, 1895,
the daughter of William and
Ellen McTaggart Wells, and
was married June 24, 1914, in
Spring Valley Township. She
was a member of Royal Neighbors
and the Methodist Church
Ladies Aid.
Mrs. Martin was well known
for her interest in local history,
and, was long active as a
member of the Rock County
Historical Society and its
Township Historians. She wrote
extensively of her research in
local history and was a
recognized authority on the
early history of the area.
Surviving are her husband; a
brother, Stanley Wells of Janesville,
and a sister, Mrs. Pearl
Guse, Footville.
Services will be Wednesday
at 2:30 p.m. in Newcomer
Funeral Home, Orfordville,
where friends may call from 7
to 9 p.m. tomorrow, with burial
in Bethel Cemetery.
