Aurelia PILARSKI or PELARSKI - Milwaukee WI
Surnames in this post: PILARSKI, PELARSKI, ZUEHLKE, BIEBER, MATZEK, BRZOSKOWSKA, BRZOSKOWSKI, BERKEL, MUEHLENBERG
Who did Aurelia ZUEHLKE, daughter of Edward and Lora marry? Did she have any children? Who are they?
Seeking any information on or trying to locate living relatives of Edward ZUEHLKE, son of Julius Friederich Wilhelm ZUEHLKE and Annie (BIEBER) MATZEK ZUEHLKE. Believe Edward to be only child born to this union. Edward was born March 1885. In the 1900 census is aged 15 living with both parents in Milwaukee.
By the 1920 census, Edward is married a Lora (or Laura ) BRZOSKOWSKA or BRZOSKOWSKI. I’ve also seen her name given as Laura BERKEL.
Edward and Lora had at least six children as follows per the 1920 census:
1) Theodore (Teddy) Lorenz
b. 19 Feb. 1904
d. Jun 1983, last known residence Milwaukee
2) Aurelia
m. ? Pelarski (or Pilarski)
b. 21 Jul 1905
d. Feb 1985, last known residence Milwaukee
3) Willard
b. 1 Sept 1907
d. Sept 1975, last known residence Milwaukee
4) Doris
b. 1912
5) Raymond
b. 1 Sept 1913
d. 6 Oct 1988
buried Wood National Cemetery Milwaukee
6) Lawrence
b. 20 Aug 1919
d. 8 Feb 1991
buried Wood National Cemetery Milwaukee
In 1900 Edward ZUEHLKE’s ½ sister Minnie (MATZEK) MUEHLENBERG is also living in the same household with Edward and his parents. She is with her two young children Gertrude L. (Gertie) and Willard Edward (Will, Willie) MUEHLENBERG. Edward and Minnie had the same mother, but different fathers.
Minnie is my great grandmother. I just discovered her ½ brother Edward and am anxious to make contact with anyone researching this family. Minnie had two children after the 1900 census was taken with Anton ZUEHLKE:
1) Fred Anton ZUEHLKE b. 2 March 1904 and
2) Lorraine Anette ZUEHLKE b. 14 August 1908.
We do not know the relationship, if any between Anton ZUEHLKE and Edward ZUEHLKE at this point, though we do suspect there is one. The only connection we have right now Is the fact that Minnie’s stepfather and ½ brother are ZUEHLKEs and the father of two of her children also is a ZUEHLKE.
If you can lend any information about any of the above, please contact me, I’d really love to share information and to try to solve a number of mysteries surrounding these families.
Sorry for the lengthy post, but this family is a little confusing!
Thanks very much,
Unette Lemke
