ANNA GOSE MORSE, a lifelong resident of Houston, died peacefully in her sleep at her home Sunday, July 22, 2001 at the age of 88. She was born in Bay City, Texas, the only child of Percy Abbott and Lorraine Sloane. Anna had been a member of the Blue Bird Circle, St. Martin's Episcopal Church, Tanglewood Garden Club, River Oaks Country Club and the Houston Country Club. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Emory Gose, Jr., and husbands Ray Harrell and George T. Morse. She is survived by her daughter Lorrie Gose Blackstone and husband Bill; son, Emory E. Gose, III and wife Pat of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, William Emory Blackstone and wife Elizabeth and their children Emory, Jack and Eliza all of Columbia, Tennessee, Elizabeth Blackstone Holderfield and husband Michael of Houston, Karen Gose Johnson and husband Kyle and their son Miles, Kathryn Gose Peele and husband Chris, Jennifer Gose Fleming and husband Greg and Kelly Frances Gose all of Austin, Texas. Anna was known throughout her life for her grace, beauty and charm. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Friends are invited to visitation with the family on Monday, July 23, 2001 from 5 until 7 o'clock in the evening. Memorial services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 24, 2001 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road with The Rev. Dr. John K. Graham and The Rev. Dr. Peter G. Thomas officiating.
