Abel Smith b.1670?dau.Deborah m.Hatfield
I'm trying to tie in some surnames to my main family lines of Hatfield, Tooker/Tucker, Eldridge and Hines.
My mother's direct ancestor John Hatfield (b.1700-1706 ? Elizabethtown, NJ ?) m.?1730's Deborah Smith whose father was Abel Smith (b. 1670's ??). I have no other information on Abel Smith or his daughter Deborah.

Who was Abel's wife who bore Deborah Smith who married my John Hatfield ? Who was Abel Smith's family (parents, siblings, etc) ? How were the ABEL family connected to the Smith family of that time period ?

Deborah Smith two generations later on ?

Other possible surnames of the same time period were WINANS, OGDEN (was OKEDEN in Holland), MITCHELL, and perhaps TOWNLEY, WESSELS/VESSELS and MANN.
