Reinholt b.1725 two wives??
An article aapears in the "Pennsylvania Dutchmen" Vol 2 page 6 regarding the Abendschon, Abendschein/Obenchain etc. family.Paragraph five suggests that because Reinhold's will of 1783 mentions 10 daughters and five sons, that "Apparently Anna was a second wife, as she was still living in Montgomery Co in the 1790 Census". I have an extract from Amityville Union Church in Berks Co which records the bapt. of Barbara b. 1768 as the dau of Reinhold & Hannah. Is it possible that Anna, Hannah, and Nancy are different wives? It is certainly possible for one woman (An amazing woman) to have her first child, Catherine born in 1752 and the last child is born in 1782. She would be fifty at the bith of the last child. There seems to be a constant flow of children without interuption which would suggest one marriage. But the article raised an interesting idea. Any thoughts?
Kathy
