I pieced together the names by looking at census records and watching the neighbors/in laws & who migrated together and some marriage records and cemetery records and some intuition/speculation. The record with the most names in one place was this one:
1850 Talladega Co AL hh#1218/1207 James Abercrombie, 65, farmer, 7000, SC Cynthia, 55, SC Lucinda, 27, SC David A, 25, farmer, SC Hastings D, 24, farmer, SC Bailey/Bailes?, 23 farmer, SC Sarah, 16, SC Isabella, 4, MS [maybe d/o James H] Isaac A Madden, 22, farmer, SC
I don't know anything about the Sarah b.abt 1798 who married Burleson. The Sarah above married Dr William Broom & they are both buried at Inglish Cemetery in Fannin Co, TX.
I agree per Chrystie being closely related to Colvill Abercrombie and would like to understand exactly how. I also have a lot of problems with her having so many children so late in life. Her supposed birthdate of 1746 just does not jive with son William Dial born 1798, and the others born in the 1790s. Surely a birthdate in the early 1760s is more reasonable. I would certainly like to know where the 1746 birthdate came from and how it was applied to this particular Chrystie Abercrombie.
