I will take the easy one first. If you check your records John is buried in The Dial Methodist Cemetary and it has the date 1736, that is prove. Tony, the reason I stopped answering your post is that you are making so many assumptions and when some body calls you on it then you go on the defensive. To be honest I have no prove who our original ancestor was,and since I have no prove I don't claim one. I don't know where you come up with things like there was an early Thomas, no one has ever claimed that. Your reference to New Jersey and Pennsylvania are way out there. The Pennsylvania Abercrombie's are well documented and they are not us. I believe That William and James are brothers not cousins. The early James you refer has never been mentioned except by you. In the 70's I went to Laurens and talked to the families that were there mainly descended form John's brothers Jonathan and Alexander. These folks were in there 80's and 90's when I talked to them. They were describing our family history from Revolutionary times like it was yesterday . They had never left Laurens, and the things I have described is things they have known about all their life's.
The only way you could know all that you claim to know, you would have had to been there in Colonial times. Were you?
