I will make a couple of points and ask one or two questions. I did make a mistake when I cited the cemetery .Let's talk about about strong circumstantial evidence. When I was in Laurens one of these beautiful ladies took me to the cemetery pointed at John's grave and said this is my Great Grandfather. She told me she was taken to the cemetery by her Grandparents and told the same thing. Use your math she was born about 1885, and father was born about 1850, her Grandparents born about 1828. That is 12 years after John died. Remember the family never left Laurens and visited the cemetery quite often. Is that strong enough evidence for you or is it just family tradition. You ask where John was born I don't claim to know, and I have never claimed to know. You made a statement that John had an older brother Thomas, and you said it was well documented. I have never hear this before you. Could you tell me were that information was found. the ladies also told me about two brothers who went to Georgia, namely William and James.
