I have been studying the ABRAMS/Abraham family genealogy for over a year now. I'm trying to determine who was the father ofmy G grandfather named Gerardo Abrams who lived at el Bo Cacao of Quebradillas around 1910. My G grandfather had a brother named Vidal Abrams/Abraham who lived in Bo Cocos in Quebradillas on 1910, died in Arecibo after 1920 and another possible brother that I have located in Humacao named Deogracia Abraham whose descendants claim that Deogracia's family came from the north west of PR to Humacao.
As per Cedula de Gracias documents, Emanuel/Manuel(Cedula de Gracias)/Lemuel Abrams migrated to PR to inherit his father's (Thomas Abrams)properties in PR. He moved to PR with his wife named Escolastica Hornedo and three younger brothers/sisters. Lemuel had several children with Escolastica. The catalog of inmigrants to PR of Dr. Estela Cifre lists Lemuel and his descendats, one of them named Lemuel Abrams, the one I believe is the father of the Lemuel you mention in your reply. There is record of at least other two Lemuel brothers named Jorge and Elizabeth. I found both of them travelling with Thomas Abrams to Philadelphia in 1831 (Ref: Philadelphia, 1800-1850 Passenger and Immigration Lists: National Archives' Series Number: 425Microfilm Number: 46List Number: 113).

I believe that Thomas did not return to PR after his 1831 trip to Philadelphia. He settled in Queens, NY. Even though the Cedula de Gracia's document state that Thomas died around 1831.
