I believe we are connected through one Benjamin Victor Abraham, who was my Great-Great-Grandfather.I think he was also your GG-Grandfather.
My Great-Grandfather was Frederick Abraham, born 9 January 1858, in Georgetown.Frederick Abraham was number four of nine children that I am aware of.From what I understand, from the autobiography of Great-Grandaunt Katherine Angela (Abraham) Green, who was the eighth child, your Great-Grandfather Edward Adolphus Victor Abraham was the eldest and a half-brother to the others.
With regards to the information I have regarding your Great-Grandfather Edward, the following is a quick summary:
1.Born 25 Sept 1852 2.Married Alicia Bunbury, Sept 1877 3.Married Marian T. Mundy 4.Son - Henry Valentine Harry Abraham 5.Elected Town Councillor, 24 Mar 1897 6.Elected Mayor, Georgetown, 28 Dec 1903 7.Died 4 Jun 1918
I am still gathering information from the British Guiana Directories and other sources of documents.
Please feel to contact me.I have been in touch with others who are connected to me via the nine siblings.
To date we have been able to possibly connect Great-Great-Grandfather Benjamin Abraham with 17 brothers and sisters.Presently I am trying to corroborate information that may or may not introduce an 18th sibling the father of one Richard James Abraham.
You mention that your Grandmother's name was Gwendolyn (Dolly).Who were her parents, if I may ask?Do you have the name of your Great-Great Grandmother?Mine was, from what I understand, Emily (Boyle) Abraham.
