Your enquiry interested although this may be pure coincidence.
My surname was originally Simon and my father was Morris Sidney Simon (b 1908). His father was George Wolf Simon who married Elizabeth Gertrude Abrahams (she was one of 7 children Marie, Sydney, Katie, Harry, Alfie & Edith. I don't know the parents first names).
I know that my grandmother and one or two of her sisters spent time in South Africa.
Another connection with South Africa is Charlotte MaudeBarnato, wife(?) of Henry Barnato of Barnato Brothers fame.In her will (d. 1911) she left a legacy to my grandmother and her four sons. This was the only bequest that had a family connection as all other bequests were charitable. Also Morris Abrahams of Oxford Road, Kilburn was mentioned in the will of Henry Barnato and Louis Abrahams (Diamond Merchant of Hatton Garden) was appointed trustee.
COINCIDENCE.... Today we went to a stone setting at Willesden Cemetery and visited Charlotte Maude's grave which is just outside the Barnato Joel plot. The stone in front of hers is Morris Abrahams Died 1903!!!!!!
For some considerable time I've been trying to find the exact connection between my family and Charlotte Maude but I have been unable to find out her maiden name. All I have found is that she was married to someone called Gray.
As I said, this may just be one heck of a coincidence, on the other hand these names may make a connection with your family
