Donna, I tried to find some information for you since I have Abshire family from West Virginia too!!Mine lived at Beaver Pond Mercer County.I found a couple of Census records with your grandfather on them.I sent a link to your e-mail for them.You should be able to look at and print them out.I also sent an e-mail with marriage info for J.R Abshire and Laura Armstead for the date you had.If your e-mail is different, please let me know.So, I don't know if I helped or not!
