I am decended from John Atkinson (John of Money) b. 1700 d. 26 Jan 1771 m. 25 May 1721 ? Anne (Dixon ?) b. ? d. 10 Sept 1766
His Grandson, Joeseph b.23 Jan 1760, inherited the Crowhill property through his marraige to Sarah Hoope. Family legend is that 2 brothers went to Ireland from Scotland and these men were married to 2 sisters. My research tells me that John's forebearers came to Ireland during the 'Ulster Plantation' and that the surname at that time was Acheson. Does anyone have any further info to support this view?
