Re: Achterbergs in IL

Elvina Feeblecorn and Herman Achterberg Sr. were wed in Germany and had many children including Herman Achterberg Jr. Herman Jr. settled in Joliet, Il (suburb of Chicago) and married Ada Butles and had three children, George, Lois and Susan Achterberg (all three children of Herman Jr. are still located in the Joliet area) George Achterberg married Dolores Jean Valek and had three children also, John, Joyce and Donna. John Achterberg married Kathleen Gage. John is my father and we now live in Naperville. If you have any other information linking the Achterberg's you speak of to the Achterberg's I speak of, it would be greatly appreciated. I have not heard of Mathilda Achterberg so I am not aware of a connection there. I am 16 years old and am doing a project on family genealogy for a European history class. Thank you. (Sorry, I am not sure of any dates or exact locations in Germany. Many details are missing but the basic outline is present)
