Hi Gladys. I am in the line of Phila Ann Ackerman. I know nothing of Chester Smith but I do know she married Chester Bruce about 1845. They had two sons Lyman and Mervale. My gggrandfather was Lyman Bruce. His daughter was lillian Bruce she married John Beach. The family moved to Montana and finally end up in Oregon. Thank you for the information it is much appreciated.
