Glen Ackerson, 77, of Cathedral City died Jan. 10, 2000, in Rancho Mirage. He was born March 3, 1922, to Charlie and Lenna Bell Frye Ackerson in Pawnee, Ill. Mr. Ackerson was a car salesman for Mac Magruder Chevrolet inPalm Springs. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Palm Springs Elk Lodge #1905,American Legion Post #763 in Desert Hot Springs, AmericanLegion Post #495 in Cathedral City, Palm Springs Moose Lodge#2008, Moose Lodge #167 in Yucca Valley and of DesertVeteran’s Memorial Association. Survivors include three daughters, Mary Ann Ackley of Moline, Ill.,Evelyn Disinger of Baldwinsville, N.Y., and Laura Jamerson ofCottonwood; two sons, Ronald Charles Adams of Springfield, Ill.,and David Decker of Anna Maria Island, Fla.; 10 grandchildren;and two stepsisters, Victoria and Melissa Sainz, both ofRaymond, Wash. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Palm SpringsMortuary in Cathedral City. Services will at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ramon Chapel, PalmSprings Mortuary in Cathedral City.
