I am a descendant of William Ackles, so I really have just information on him.

William Ackles, at an early date came from Orange County, New York.First to Cayuga County, and then to Lafayette with five brothers and a sister, John, Charles, Brant(so I have listed), Richard, Tartulus, and Sarah.William resided in LaFayette until his death.His son Horton Ackles married Mary Emmons, daughter of Samual and Prudence Harris.She was born at Barkhampsted, Conn., May 8th, 1800.Horton and Mary Emmons Ackles had five children, Samuel, Milberry, Ovid, Abigail, and Mary.
