Re: Ackleys from Lancaster,coos,NH
We have corresponded before and are cousins removed a few times. Our great great grandmother is Lydia Ann Ackleyalso. Estella Tryphine Abbott is her 7th child andfrom what we can tell of 9 and the baby died shortly after she,Lydia, did when our great grandmother was a child of approximately 3-4.Our great grandmother Estrella married young to George W.Thompson and had our grandfather Frederick L. THOMPSON and his younger sister Alma.Estrella died about 21 and my cousin has a lovely photo of her and her death certificate.Freddie, grandfather, and Alma were raised by an awful stepmother who had children from another marriage and they managed to getour grandfather and his sister's inheritance when their father died.
Grandfather lost out on the family farm and family business but was lucky finding grandmother Margaret Montgomery from Scotland and they had 5 children, the eldest my father Allan.Alma waas not so fortunate. She married an rthur Davenport who not only abandoned her for another woman when she and their children were taken very ill in an epidemic and the children succumbed, but he had her committed to a mental hospital in her state of mourning/depression.She lived her days out there.Frederick ,our grandfather, died in 1942 of pneumonia in Boston hospital from theprivate duty nurses' neglegence following his surgery for prostrate cancer. The children were all grown but grandmother grieved her loss for the rest of her long life.He had many grand and great grandchildren, and now there are great great grandchildren.Contact me directly and give me your phone number and I will call you.My cousin Margo, also Margaret, like me has all the documentation and some other contacts we have heard from. It sounds like you have had computer problems like me when i lost all i had saved. email meat email@example.com.
