Acklin, Lawrence Co., AL...Elizabeth Acklin departed this life January 1859; she was a widow and left children and grandchildren her only heirs at law, viz: William Acklin, Elizabeth G., wife of Jas. V.A. Hinds, Joseph A.S. Acklin, of Louisiana, Christopher Acklin of California, Palmyra J., wife of John J. Coleman, Arthur A. Acklin (petitioner), Christian B., wife of Wm. R.J. Husbands, Sallie W. Acklin only living child of John R.H. Acklin, a son of said intestate who died in her lifetime, of Louisiana, and Mary R., wife of David A. Word, Charles L. McGehee and Sallie McGehee, the only living children of Sarah V. McGehee, a daughter of said intestate who died before her; all of these are of TExas and all of "said persons are of full age excepting the said Sallie N. McGehee who are severally minors under the age of 21." (Petition possibly filed ca Spring of 1863)
