Re: New info on family of William Acre Sr who died 1688 in Lancaster Co VA
Thanks very much for this fascinating information!I appreciate you taking the time to answer my query, and posting the will record from Richmond Co VA.
I still suspect that my Gx7 grandmother Katherine who married Randolph Miller of Lancaster was the sister of William Acre who died in 1688 and named Randolph Miller as his "brother" & executor in his will.Other researchers have postulated that Randolph may have been a half brother of William Acre.
However, I have not found any records that indicate that Randolph Miller was an immigrant;I am inclined to believe that Randolph Miller'sparents were the immigrant ancestors, and progenitors of this particular Miller family in VA, and that Randolph Miller was born around 1650 in Lancaster Co VA (although I have yet to find any kind of parish record to support this).I am also very curious about the fact that his first name was Randolph!!
Once again, thanks for the info.
Yours, Betty T
