My Mother is Pearline Acreman Tompkins. She is one of 10 childeren born to William HenryAcreman and Hattie Lee Lodgens Acreman. I know my grandfather had a brother known as Aut, one named Jim(killed in a knife fight at a young age.)and a stepmother named Cat. Henry, as my grandfather was known, was born in 1879 and died in 1960 I believe. He was a sharecropper and Hattie was his second wife his first wife was May Bell Lodgens, elder sister of Hattie. May Bell and Henry had a child, but mother and child died within a year. There are also Acreman descendents in Louisiana, (maternal descendants). I know a few family stories, but most of the details are sketchy. I hope to share these with family members before they are lost. There are only 4 of the original 10 descendents of Henry and Hattie left and they aren't getting any younger. If there are any of you out there who think you may be related let me know. The family lived in Greenville, Luverne, and Evergreen Alabama. There are also members in Escambia county Florida,Lake Charles Louisiana, and also south Florida.
