FRANKLIN PIERCE MILLER was born in Harrison County, Mo., June 28, l852; died at St. Joseph Hospital, where he had been taken for treatment Aug. 28, l92l, being 69 years, and 2 months old.He grew to manhood in Harrison Co., Mo., where he spent most of his life except about ll years which he spent in western Kansas and 2 years with his mother in Pleasanton, Iowa.
He was married to MISS MARTHA ANN ACTON, November 20, l876, and to this union 7 children were born, of which 5 with their mother, have preceded him to the spirit world, two children remain, CLAUDE MILLER, of Akron, Colorado and MRS. MAUD WILLIS of Pleasanton, Iowa.
July 28, l9l7, he was married to MISS LILLIAN SWIFT, of Pleasanton, Iowa, who with the two children, 8 grandchildren are left to mourn the loss of a husband, father and grandfather.
Deceased had been in poor health for some time and had been taken to the hospital for treatment.The body was brought home Tuesday to the farm west of town where funeral services were held on the beautiful lawn under shade trees he planted 2l years ago on his farm he had improved years ago, conducted by Rev. Elba Dale, after which interment was made in the Hamilton Cemetery.
