Re: John Singleton Acton of Charles Co., MD
I think my Acton is descended from this set.Unfortunately I don't know my male ancestor's first name.He would have been born around the same time of John Singleton Acton's children.
My Unknown Acton married a Christina and they had at least 3 children, possibly more. Two sons and one daughter (of whom I'm descended) Suzannah Catherine Acton born 1836.Her one brother is named Richard Alfred Acton born 1838. The other brother's name is unknown. Christina was born abt. 1812.
The following are common factors that point to a possible relattion between these Acton's and mine:
1.Alfred seems to be a common used name.
2.Suzannah's father would be about the same age as the other siblings.
3.Catherine ended up living with William and his family. She is the only older Acton remaining in the area, narrowing down any other possible connection.
There are also other Acton men who are of the same age frame who also lived in the same Charles County area.Do you know anything about the following:(Coomes District)
Randolph (this one is from the Bryantown area, same as my family)
(one of these could also end-up being my ggggrandfather.)
There are two brothers Wallace Madison and Christopher that I cannot find any info on.Do you know anything about this two gentlemen?
I believe I'm on the right track here.I'm so hoping you can help me with this delimma. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks again and Take Care, Wanda
