Dear Robert:
I have in mind to investigate the Acuña's movements in the Americas but it will be delayed until my retirement because I suppose that it will spend a lot of time that I have not.
First of all, I must finish the story of my family to edit a book for my sons and specially for the future generations. The major part of the text is written (300 din A4 pages) but I want to incorporate photos, documents, maps, and so on, collected during my "genealogic trips". May be a foolish but other people collects stamps. After that, I could start with the other Acuña branches: portuguese, castilian... in some moment we can find the path.
In general I have the feeling that people has not advanced nothing, or they are starting to investigate, or they want to know a lot about their origins in a "soft way". This is a very very difficult work. I was stopped in my investigation during five years until a lucky strike arrived. I wish the same for all of you, and not to yield.
I am glad to read a "DE" Acuña surname coming from America. It is the first time. Where do you lives?. What about your spanish knowledge?.
My very kind regards for you and your grandfather (and his memory) and do not hesitate to tell me your news.
Sorry by my bad english.
Jose Maria.
