In a book on Suffolk (may be by Suckling) vol. 1. 1846 on page 201 there appears a pedigree extracted from the Records of Ulster, King of Arms of all Ireland, on 1st July 1838 and transferred to the Heralds' College, London.
It shows :
William Adair of Kinhilt, served heir to his father (Ninian who m. Miss Gordon) in his Scottish Estates, April 5th 1608, settled at Ballynacloss, in the county of Antrim, and was made a denizen of Ireland, 1624.Died Nov. 4, 1626.William married Catherine Kirchart.Would this be Catherine Cathcart ?Would this mean that both Rev. John Adair and William Adair both married Misses Cathcart, possibly sisters ?
