There is a chart which shows Rev. Patrick Adair and his wife Isabella (only child of Robert Adair and Rachel Forbes) had children:
1.William b. 1702 who probably purchased the property of Flixton about 1750 which later may have been acquired by the Adairs of Ballymena through William's nephew, Alexander Adair who was son of Alexander who died at Bengal 1743.
2.Martha d. young 3.Robert 4.Ann b. 1707 m. Anderson 5.Alexander, chaplain of East Indian ship d. at Bengal 1743 (see above) 6.James, capt. of marines killed at Lazar 1741 7.Helen d. young 8.Archibald 9.Robert lost at sea New England.
The first son, William was of Pall Mall, London and apparently worked with or for the Duke of Richmond, paying accounts for the Duchess of Richmond in 1739. His work may have involved the discharge and recruitment of soldiers in various regiments, admissions of sick and wounded soldiers to St. Thomas Hospital, papers concerning the 1st Regt. of Footguards 1757 and accoutrements in the Coldstream Regiment 1755. Believe some of his correspondence may be in files in an American University Library collection. This is interesting to me because of his association with the Duke of Richmond, as the wife of "Robin Adair" was a descendant of a Duke of Richmond.
