Edward Adair was the youngest son and child of John and Gahoga Adair. He previously lived in SC and in Cass Co., GA in the area of what is now Adairsville. Two of his older brothers, Samuel and Walter, are buried somewhere in Cass Co., probably near where they lived. As a descendant of both Samuel and Walter, I would very much like to know where they are buried, and also Samuel's wife, Margaret Deeson.Walter's wife Rachel Thompson Adair went west with her children and is buried in Oklahoma. Edward Adair's wife, Martha Ritchie, was white, as were the wives of the other two brothers.Martha died in 1857, and Edward in 1864.Their daughter Narcena McDonald, died in 1862. Narcena's husband, Collins McDonald, was a cousin of Cherokee Principal Chief John Ross. Following their deaths, Edward's and Martha's other children and their families went west to the new Cherokee Nation: Benjamin Franklin, Calvin Sequoyah, John and Sarah Ann.
