I am supposedly descended from Bozeman Adair through his son Whitmill Harrington Adair and wife Sally Sorrells.Sally was the daughter of William Alexander Sorrells and Dorcas Sanders.Dorcas was the youngest child of James S. Sanders and Sarah Tully. The name was originally spelled "Saunders."James and Sarah Tully Sanders had a son named Jonathan born about 1775, but this Jonathan seems to be a little old to be the spouse of Lucy Adair.
Your Lucy and Jonathan Sanders were married 8 May 1817 in Madison County, Georgia.Lucy was born about 1800 and died after 1850 in Alabama. My records show one child -- Millie -- born about 1820, died before 1869 in Jefferson County, AL.Millie married "Kenion Tarpley Hulsey."Millie probably had several siblings, including your Agnes, but I have not researched this family so do not know any more about it.
I show that John Bone Jr. born 1823 was a son of Sarah Adair (daughter of Bozeman) and John Bone, but my files list his wife as just "Susan."Perhaps he was married twice?Or perhaps she was "Agnes Susan."
Guess I need to do some more investigating on this family.A couple of years ago someone suggested that my great-grandmother Jane Adair might not, after all, be a daughter of Whitmill Harrington Adair -- but I can't find any proof one way or another.I know that the "official" Adair genealogies include her.(Just when it seems you've got a line down pat, something comes along to raise questions.Murphy's Law #35:"The light at the end of the tunnel is the headlamp of an oncoming train.")
