Samuel and Hannah (Bradley) Adair, were born in Connecticut and after their marriage moved to Rochester, NY, where he studied law. In 1841 he moved to Macomb Co, Michigan where he died.
Their 7th and youngest child, Edmond P. Adair (of Fremont Township) was b. 20 July 1816 in Oneida County, NY, and from 1836 - 1843 he had a farm in Macomb County, after which he hadboot, shoe & grocery business at Utica, Macomb County, for 38yrs.He then moved to Fremont Township, Tuscola County, Michigan.
Edmond P. Adair mc. 1845 to Adelia Ferris, (dau of William B. and Mehitable (Wallace) Ferris), and had children: Alice Adair Maj. George W.(Wallace ?) Adair, surgeon in the Army stationed at Ft. Robinson, Neb.
