This is fascinating information to me, because I have been looking for something about the Adairs, having recently found some Adairs on deeds with my Fuller kin, in Pendleton, SC, in 1804, and also a deed from Benjamin Fuller of "Providence of South Carolina," to James Adair, in 1773 in Bladen Co., NC. The Adairs on the Pendleton deeds are; Walter, James, and John.James Fuller is a Wit., and the deeds say things like: "James Fuller gave oath to James Adair," etc. My ancestor, Benjamin Fuller, (in Pendleton) is also next to an entry with John Adair, Samuel Houston, and James Curry, and I see a Curry and Adair near Mordicai Fuller, as well. The Fullers had land on some creeks of the Tugaloo and Keowee rivers, and on Connoross creek. Also, there is a Wat Adair in the 1830 census of Gwinnett Co., GA, who is living near another ancestor of mine, and I have wondered who this Adair is, as well. I have been told about the book; "Cherokee Adairs," but have been unable to obtain a copy, so any help at all will be greatly appreciated.
