Thanks for the post. And I don't take it as you being bossy as I am sure you don't own the Genforum, so please don't attempt to tell me when I may or may not post here. I would appreciate that. Thank you
As for the points you brought up:
A few of William Adairs childrens DOB's:
John - 12/31/47 Harry - 1952 Larry - 8/28/53 Michael - 8/13/56 Donald - 9/16/62 or 7/1/63, unsure due to aliases Marilyn - unkown Leroy - unknown Bobby - unknown Richie - unknown
From Ellis Island records, there was a William Adair who arrived in NY from Belfast, Ireland in 1921 at the age of 18 on the ship called Tashmoo. That would fit with his DOB of 1903 and him being born in Belfast. There is no concrete evidence that it is him as there were 9 William Adairs to arrive in Ellis Island between 1921 and 1924, 2 of which came out of Belfast, all of which were born in or around 1903.
I have to do further reseearch in order to confirm if this is the same William Adair, my granfather.
According to the ships (The Tashmoo) manifest, the William Adair that arrived in 1921 stood 5'2 and weighed 130 lbs (at age 18). I have no idea how tall my grandfather was. Hopefully a records search of the coroner's office where he died will provide me with that answer.
As I stated before, I am looking for anyone who may have first hand knowledge of this family. Perhaps additonal family members who may have pertinent information that could fill many of the gaps in my family history.
Sorry that I am not a seasoned veteran such as yourself. I've just begun this journey of tracing my heritage and am using any and all tools available to me.
In the future, please try to be a help and not a hinderance. I say hinderance because it is clear that you added no useful information to my search.
