re: Mr. Wakefield was a prominent landowner and Quaker, possibly of Tartaraghan Parish, co. Armagh, N. Ireland, 3 miles N.E. from Loughgall. It was formerly part of the Parish of Drumcree.
In 1714 there was a William Adair of Loughgall whose landlord was Robert Cope. Robert Cope m. 1707 Letitia Brownlow. William Adair may have had son James Adaire who married about the same time to a Miss Brownlow. William Adair's lease c.1714 from Robert Cope was renewable for the lives of James & John Adair, probably William's sons.
