Thank you.re: "Capitulation between the Hon. Richard Hamilton,Lieutenant-General of all his Majestys force in Ulster,on one part; and William Adair of the town of Ballymena, now Governor of the Castle of Culmore, of the other part, the 23rd day of April, 1689".
There was a Rev. George Walker who may have had a descendant, Felix Walker in North Carolina at the same time as a James Adair / Adear and William Adair.Rev. George Walker's son may have been a Derry.
They say Sir Robert Adair II, bc.1662 wasn't in the seige of Derry, but was in Scotland at the time.
Would the William Adair have been son of Rev. Patrick Adair, or William Adair, son of William Adair of Ayr, Scotland ? The William Adair who took supplies in his ship to Derry seems to be of the Corgie, Kirkmaiden, Wigtownshire, lineage, whose grandfather (?) may have been James Adair, brother of William Adair who first went to Ireland c.1624.
