Interesting, I have an Asenath Adams who was born in 1785 in MA. her mother's name is Lucy Cobb or Lucy Garrett, her father is Heman Adams, Heman and Lucy went to Ohio after the Rev. War.My Asenath Adams went to Decatur County, Indiana and she married Warren Smith in MA. Asenath had a brother Lott Adams who's family stayed in MA. According to the DAR records she states she is the fourth child of Heman and Lucy's. We have found Asenath and her brother Lot on the census records, but have not found the other two children. I don't know if they died or if they were living with someone else in MA. But they don't show up on the census records living with Heman and Lucy in 1790 and 1800 census of MA. Only two children do a male and a female. This is from the Heman Adams pension records from the revolutionary War. I decend through Asenath Adams and Warren Smith through their daughter Louisa May Smith who married Stewart Ward in Ohio, Asenath is living with Stewart and Louisa in the 1850 census of Tipton County, Indiana, she is buried at Glass Cemetery, on the Ripley/Decatur County Lines. Heman and Lucy are buried in Ohio.
