HELP --- I am hopelessly confused; maybe this Adams book and some helpful person can help me get my two Mariah's sorted out!
Could someone who has a copy of the book "Descendants of James and Agnes (Wilson) Adams with Fifty-Seven Allied Families," by Leona Adams Loviska, pub. 1978, please tell me the following:
What is the documentation shown for the marriage of Mariah Louisa Adams [b. 11 Feb. 1833 in Hopkins Co., Ky and died ca. SEP 1860, prob. Marion Co., Ark] to have married Samuel Lee on 25 DEC 1858?
The 1860 and 1880 Census records for Marion Co. Arkansas suggest that maybe Samuel Lee may have married Mariah Louisa Adams' mother Mariah Louisa (Lynn) Adams after Mariah's husband George Adams died on 28 Oct 1858 in Marion Co., Ark.
Samuel Lee and his wife [either Mariah Louisa Adams or her mother Mariah Louisa (Lynn) Adams] had a daughter Mary Ann Lee born 22 January 1860, near Yellville, Marion Co., Arkansas. This Mary Ann Lee married Wiley Scott McFarland in 1875, and they are my great-grandparents.
Any assistance appreciated! Frank McFarland firstname.lastname@example.org
