I have been looking for the "David ADAMS Sr." to my ancestor who was a "Jr."But there seem to be a handful of David ADAMS(Sr. and Jr.) who lived in Pennsylvania and moved to Ohio in the early 1800's
My David Jr. ancestor was born in 1784 and died in 1859.He was born in Pennsylvania and died in Ohio.He married a Sarah McKibben- whose family had settled in Cumberland Co. PA
They were Presbyterian. My David built a grist mill on a branch of the Portage River in Wood County Ohio in the 1830's.
He had an older brother- Asa ADAMS- who preceded him to Wood County, Ohio (circa 1835)from Beaver (now Lawrence) Co PA.
David Sr. and Asa may have been in Washington Co PA at one time.By 1800 they were in Beaver Co PA. The father of David Sr. may have been Alexander ADAMS- from New Jersey, according to one biographical note found in Seneca Co Ohio.
