I will draft the letter tomorrow and am happy to help. I also consider myself a Virginian since I was born in SW Virginia, as were my parents and their parents and still have many relatives there. My husband was also born in VA, andhis Lewis line came first to VA, then Ashe Co. N.C. then to Eastern KY. My daughter is considering UV and William and Mary for her graduate work. Your family history sounds quite interesting. My husband's Lewis line includes: Ralph Lewis from Wales who married Anne Prichard,(who was related to King Edward III)Jacob Lewis who m Delilah Robinson, John Cicero Lewis who married Martha Graybill (Kruchebrull ?) from Switzerland and Dr. A.I. Lewis who married Callie Preston and his dad Dr. E.S. Lewis who married Juanita Lewis. There were also many sons from all of these unions in Va, N.C. and Ky. I have quite a bit more on my husband's Lewis line if it sounds familiar. I also have Browning family who came to Jamestown and Culpepper, Va in the early 1600's.
