Hello. Did they claim Indian blood and a connection to Georgia? Being in those counties, I doubt he was tied to my grandmother as her set was in Cleveland from around 1866 and later in Lonoke Co. Her grandfather, Joseph William Adams just sort of disappeared in Jefferson Co., we think. His wife was Mary Rodgers Adams, and it is believed he served with the CSA in Georgia. The wife died in Cleveland Co, and according to what was passed down, he remarried with the sons not getting along with the second wife--name unknown. That is extremely sketchy also, but it is more than I knew for a long time. So do not quit, as success is around the corner-- if you have the time to wait.
