Hi Chrystal, It appears you have linked to the correct family. 1) Johnson Adams b. 1785 married Elizabeth 2) William K. Adams m. Nancy Burchfield 3) Johnston K. Adams m. Jane Deweese
Can you tell me where Johnson/Johnston K. Adams died in 1922?
According to the 1880 census record that I posted on this thread previously, Oscar and Arthur are both shown as age 1 in that census, so I think it safe to assume they were twins. It would be quite odd if their deaths dates were the same as you stated was shown on one source, so I presume someone has decided they are the same person in error.
My only concern is that Johnston K. Adams and his first cousin Johnson Adams, both born about 1844/45, can be easily confused.I suggest you gather enough information to satisfy yourself that you have the right man.On the surface, it appears to me that you do.
I will try to find them in the 1900, 1910 and 1920 census records if you can tell me where you think they were living.
As for my line, I descend from Johnson Adams through his daughter Winifred/Apsala who married Gamaliel Bryant in 1835. Gamaliel's daughter Nancy married William A. Lee, my great grandfather. His son John Lee was my grandfather, his son Robert E. Lee was my father.
Oh, and please tell me where the Hanging Dog cemetery photos are online!Haven't seen them. Lorien Gunsallus
