Sorry, I don't have your William H Adams in my line, as far as I know.Sally Holtzclaw married John Adams son of Absalom, in 1813. John died in 1825, Sally went west to Clay Co (later Clinton) Missouri, the same year, with a wagon party that included her Holtzclaw family. Perhaps your Hollingsworth was part of the wagon party, otherwise I have never run across that name in association with the Holtzclaw name.
I did go through my notes and found an entry that included the Hollingsworth name: " An article published in the "Missouri Intelligencer" dated 31 Dec. 1822, reports that a "Pleasant G. Adams" received $1.12 from Clay county for taking T.G. Hollingsworth into custody, furnishing room, board etc".
Those people are not in my direct line, and I am not sure of any connection to me--just offering it to you in case it might help. Good luck.
