This is in re William F. Adams who married the widow Hannah Love in Bureau Co, Ill. in 1851.There was no issue from this marriage (her third marriage). His children are from his first wife, Isabellah Bushong who was born in KY. and died before the 1850 census presumably in Bureau Co, IL as they had settled there in the early 1840's.
He had sons Samuel, Jacob, and Frank, daus. Margaret Jane (married a Joseph Rhinehart) and Katie who married Nathan Meek as per obit. of Harriet Love Craddock (Daughter of his 2ndwife Hannah) in 1938.
From Ruth Meek Hall in 1985:Mrs. Thomas (Margaret Adell Adams) Wroten was a sister of my great-grandfather Wm. F. Adams whose 2nd wife was Hannah Rhinehart Leonard Love.
HIs obit states he died at his son Jacob's house, he left a brother, Robert Stewart Adams and 5 children. MARRIAGE: From the Illiinois Statewide Marriage Index, 1763-1900, available online from IL State ArchivesHannah Love and William Adams.
I have not researched the Adams line as our connection is through Hannah Rinehart and George Love. There are Adams in Greene Co, Pa in the early 1800's.This is where Hannah came from. One relative told me years ago they thought Wm Adams family came from West Va. - somewhere near Wheeling.Another account I read said he went back to visit his boyhood home and while there reconnected with Hannah.
The Virginia Archives are online - maybe there would be something there to help you.
