Joseph Adams Injured ~ Iowa
The Lamoni Chronicle - Iowa
July 19, 1906
Joseph Adams, who lives about four miles northeast of town, is nursing a very bad hand. He came to town the Fourth, and in taking the hay from his wagon to feed his team, got a thistle in his hand. Nothing was thought of it at the time, but the next morning it began to pain him and has kept getting worse until now it is very badly swollen, and he says, there is danger of losing a finger. It is a bad hand but we hope to here (sic) of his recovery without the loss of the member.
