Hi I am seeking information on EMMA ADAMS-RAINE. She was born in Addison, Vermont in about 1852. Her father was EDRICK ADAMS and her mother was MARION. Emma married CHARLES RAINE from Crown Point, New York. They had at least one daughter named MARION RAINE-AUTRY. Emma and Marion appear on the 1930 US Federal Census as living in Greeley, Colorado with Marion's husband FRANK AUTRY---who was born in Colorado. Emma died in Greeley and her body was shipped back to Addison, Vermont. She is buried next to her brother (I believe) JOHN QUINCY ADAMS. He was born in 1838 and died n 1893. He was a Lieutenant in the 1st and 11th Vermont Volunteers 30th US Infantry 1861-1865. The tombstone for JOHN QUINCY ADAMS says "Father" on top. But I do not believe that he was Emma's father as her death record (which I have a copy of) states that EDRICK ADAMS was her father. Does anyone have any information on this family of Addison Vermont? I believe that Emma's husband CHARLES RAINE might be buried in Panton, Vermont (Addison County). Emma and her brother are buried in the town of West Addison, VT. I have a copy of: 1. Emma's death record and the information relating to her body being sent from Greeley, Colorado back to Addison VT for burial. 2. A transcription of the 1930 Census record for FRANK AUTRY listing his wife Marion and mother-in-law Emma Adams Raine from familyhistory.org. 3. A couple of photographs of the tombstone of EMMA ADAMS RAINE and brother JOHN QUINCY ADAMS.
Does anyone have any info on this family? I am particularly interested in finding info on CHARLES RAINE and EMMA ADAMS RAINE.
