James Adams and a John Quincy link???
Help!! I have hit a roadblock in regards to my ggg grandfather James B. (or R.) Adams.
Here is what I know:
James' father was born in Virginia and his mother in Kentucky. James was born in 1831, possibly in Virginia. I do know that he died in April of 1880 in Mountain Grove, Missouri and is buried in the Old Sweded CEmetery along with one of his sons Wilshire B. ADams.
James' wife is Rucia Zumwalt the were married sometime between 1850 and 1860 in Missouri and had 7 children (all born in Missouri) - Celestia, Wilshire, Burwell, Minnie, William and Mollie.
Unfortunatley I cannot obtain a deathe certificate because the Wright county courthousein Missouri burned along with all the records.
I have alos heard thru stories passed down in the family that James Adams is somehow reltaed to the John & JOhn Quincy Adams line. As of yet I have not been able to confirm or deny this.
If anyone out there can help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks :)
