Hi Lenny, glad to see you are still working on the Adams-Caudill families. I am still trying to establish who the parents of John Hobbs Adams bl727 are. Have received lots of information from other researchers have sent me and am now rtrying to sort it out.
John Adams married Ann Caudill b173l, in Fairfax VA in 1746,This would make John about l9 and Ann about 15 years old. They had five children that you have listed. Ann died possibly during child birth, John then married a Ann Stephens b about1730-35, the widow of John Ousley. John was killed in a knife fight, leaving his wife Ann and five children. John and Ann did not have any children but they raised the ten kids that they had. They moved from VA to Rowan NC and then to Wilkes Co. NC where John died about l804, Ann moved on to Tenn.
I have found that a probable father to John Hobbs Adams senior is Benjamin Adams and wife Agnes. There appears that there was two Benjamin Adams families and and a lot of guess work in trying to identify which one is the right connection for our line.
Hope to hear from you I feel we both have information that can help each other.
