There has been several discussions about the the ancestry of Elizabeth Adams who married Christopher Clark in Lincoln County, KY on December 25, 1788.The "marriage consent" adds to the confusion, to wit:
(Begin Quote) This is to certify you that Jane my wife is satisfied for Christofer Clark to get license to join in wedlock with Elizabeth Adams her daughter.Given from under out hands December 23th, 1788.
in presense ofChristopher Haner John Tompson?aty Haner Conrad Adams (End Quote)
Who are the Haners, Conrad Adams, and John Tompson? What relationship is Conrad to Elizabeth?
There is a will, Washington, Co., KY Will Book "C", pp. 233-234 of Catherine Haner dated October 19th, 1819 and probated January 10th, 1820 in which she names as her son, Conrad Adams.

An email address and phone number are given for Duane, but neither are functional.Further efforts to contact him failed.
Note that Conrad named a daughter Catherine and another Elizabeth.
Let's suppose then based on this that Catherine (Katy) Haner was first married to an Adams and had children Conrad abd Elizabeth. Her first husband, Adams, died and she married Christopher Haner. That would explain much EXCEPT why does Christopher Haner refer to his wife, Jane?
There is a posting (since disappeared) that identified a Phillip/Philip Adams b. ca. 1735 that married a Catherine. This couple ended up in or around Lincoln/Catawba Co., NC and had at least two sons, Conrad (Coonrod) b. 1770, NC and Henry.
Note that the Conrad in the Marion County query named a son Henry but not Phillip.
I believe that all of this points in the right direction for further research and we're getting closer to convincing evidence that Conrad Adams was Elizabeth's brother and Katy Haner was her mother.
